I've hesitated to put this on line because some may think I was drunk when I did. I am sober and here goes: I have a 32' Adventurer, Winny, gas engine. Since buying it new May 2002 we've put 34,000 miles on it, so this problem has just popped up in the last 4,000 miles.

When I am on the road in cruise control, say passing a car and go to get back in the slow lane, and use my right turn signal, cruise control goes off just like I stepped on the brake. Also if I am turning either way and put my foot on the brake, the turn signals quit. Please someone else say they've had these problems and what to do to fix them. I'm sure there are no good electricians at my Winnebago dealer.

Had something similar happen to me once. Found someone replaced a dual filament bulb with a single filament bulb, shut down cruise control whenever I turned on the running lights. look for this, burned out bulb or possibly corrosion in a light socket. Good Luck, let us know what you found.

Hi Woof,
Sounds like you have a short between filaments of the dual filament bulb in one of the rear lamp assemblies. First just replace the bulb or swap the left to right and see if the problem goes away or switches to a 'left' turn signal problem. If not, test for shorts in the socket or wiring between the 'brake' circuit and 'turn signal' circuit. Keep us posted.

I had the exact same problem...fix was to replace the converter box that converted the amber turn signals of my RV to only red lights on my tow car...The converter adaptor was located just before the plug in receptacle on the rear of the RV.....corrosion inside the box signaled the brake lights when my turn signals were activated...the brake lights then shut off the cruise control....for me it was an easy fix......good luck RKL
