Has anyone ever encountered anything like this before?

Coach was parked at home for about a day. DW went out to take care of some clothes in the slideout closet. I was standing outside doing something else. I hear the HWH pump start and a half-second later I hear the hiss of the air bags being dumped. In utter amazement I watch the coach settle down onto the frame. I go running and find everything off and DW unaware anything happened.

As far as I know the air being dumped can only occur if the "Dump" button is pressed on the leveling system. This of course requires the leveling system to be on first which it wasn't and couldn't be because the ignition on/acc interlock was off (the key wasn't even in the coach).

I'm planning on calling HWH in the morning to see what they have to say.

We had a neighbors coach do that while at the winnebago factory, I believe it was the hwh computer gone bad.

Yet another pleasant HWH experience to report.

This time instead of calling in I used their diagnostic help/problem report web interface which can be found here. A tech called me about 3 hours later which is as good a response time as I have ever had and a lot less hassle than calling in to the triage folks on the toll free number.

The tech said for my setup (H325 manual leveling system) he can envision an electronic way something could be wrong which would cause the air bags to dump when extending a slide. But he'd expect it to happen all the time, not just once.

The tech noted and logged the issue and asked me to go inspect the control box area to make sure something isn't out of whack from road debris, etc. The nice thing is with the problem logged now it could still break past the end of warranty next March and the tech said I'd have a grace period for this problem for a while thereafter.

NOTE TO SELF:
Next time I'm under the coach (as I was today changing the Allison filter), use jack stands! Yikes!!!
