Fan Belts and hoses

My 2000 Horizon has about 73k miles on it and the belts and hoses look okay but I was wondering what the life span should be. I was thinking of just replacing them all before starting the summer trips. Any thoughts??

IMO both time and useage dictate a change. It is a lot cheaper changing them at home as opposed to having them give way on the road. Usually in the middle of traffic/long hill/etc-murphys law)

Thanks, I had made my mind up to have it done before I have a break down. I just thought I would throw it out to the guy here to see what the thought was. I have 2 weeks before my next trip so I"ll get it done before that. Thanks again, Jim

fan belts and hoses

I replaced all my belts and hoses from radiator to engine including surge tanks at 53.000 miles and 7 years...both belts looked in good condition and the hoses showed no weaknesses or abraisions...Saved everything for spares...I probably could have stretched to 100,000 miles in my opinion..RKL
