Fan continues to run on heat pump, does not shut off

If plugged into electricity my 2000 Winnebago Horizon heat pump fan continues to run it does not shutoff. At first I thought it was going through a shutdown cycle, but that is not the case as it never shuts down. The only way to turn it off is to open breakers. It is a RVP RV Products series 6535 unit located under the right side near the rear of the coach.

Have any of you folks had this problem? If so how did you fix the problem?

Check the thermostat. If there is a switch with choices for Auto and On, put it on Auto.
On = fan running all the time.
Auto = fan only running when actively heating or cooling.

Which fan continues to run? The indoor (through the ceiling vents) or the outdoor fan (blows down underneath just behind the battery compartment). Here is a copy of the 6535 series service manual. A good place to start is page 13...the problem/possible solutions guide.

In the heating mode, all control is handled by the pc board in the basement unit, once the tstat calls for heat.

I would check the relays on the board, seems like one is sticking in the closed position.

It is the indoor fan, thanks for the service manual.

DancinCampers, I am not real sure how to check the relay as they seem to be part of the pc board. Do not appear to be replaceable without replacing the board.

Turn off all of your flouesnt lights. One of the ballast caused the same problem for me. Cheaper to go with the led tubes which you have to by-pass the ballast. May sound crazy, but try turning off one at a time and I bet you will find the culprit.

Does sound crazy, but willing to try anything before I replace PC board. You

Fan continues to run on heat pump, does not shut off

Thought I would let you folks know, It was the PC board. Ordered a new one from Amazon. The new one was an upgrade, therefore somewhat different wire terminations. But instructions were good and worked first time. Thanks for the help. Safe travels!
