Finish on Slide Out side - 2004 Adventurer

I understand Winnebago has confirmed problems with finish. Has anyone had any success getting resolution? Any suggestions on wax to make the poor finish at least look presentable? Do I have to drive to factory and sit out front with sign stating their lack of Quality Control to get Customer Service? Know all this sounds bad, but I like Winnebago and "hope" to buy another in future. OK, tell me I'm crazy!

Welcome to the forum.

No idea what "finish problem" confirmed or otherwise you are talking about... I do know of one 03 Ultimate that had some fiberglass problems and they replaced one sidewall when the coach was around 2yr old. Have you communicted with Winnebago Owner Relations via phone or email? They were always helpful when I contacted them. They are at 800-537-1885 or or@winnebagoind.com

Some 04 Journeys had poor clear coat on front cap and shoulders and they painted ours. The first thing to do is to call customer service . Have you made pictures?

I just had the front cap and curved closeouts along the sides of my 2004 Journey repainted in May of this year, 2010. All the 2004 full body paint jobs were lacking in this area. I paid for the job myself as after six years I didn't feel I had a gripe with Winnebago.

I don't understand what finish problem the poster is talking about on the slide walls--the outside or the ends that are covered when the slide is closed. My slides look like new after over six years of service.

It wasn't just 2004, and it wasn't just Journeys. Our '03 Ultimate had the same problem, and I know many other models that did, particularly from 03 through 05 or 06.

Angry Finish on slide-out

I am talking about the clear coat. The base is coming thought and black spider webbing is coming out. Have seen many with similiar problem. Winnebago has admitted the problem. Just trying to find out a cleaner that would make it look "acceptable"!!!
