First RV walkthrough

I recently purchased what looks like a cream puff 2006 Itasca Cambria 26A with low miles. I have a scheduled walkthrough this Saturday and I was wondering if there are any "must ask" questions.

Thanks,
Dan

Ask for maintenance records. Any records are useful for determining what maintenance is complete and may be needed in the near future.

Good luck and enjoy the rig.

Dan,

I suggest you go here...

Winnebago Product Information | Motorhome & RV Information

and download the info on your new RV, especially the Operator Manual and Product Literature. Give them a quick read and then you can focus your questions on things that you aren't sure about. Will give you a head-start.

Batteries: their age and see if there is a trickle charger to keep the charge up on the house batteries. Operate all the mechanicals such as awnings, slides, cloths washer (if it has one), sleep number bed (if it has one), couch, microwave, automatic locks, radios, TVs, fans, cameras, jacks, air suspension (after filling compressed air tanks turn off engine to see if they hold pressure), and the operation of all switches on house control panel. Also check lights (inside and outside), operation of AC and heating system (both heat pump and propane burner), driver/passenger seat mechanicals, refrigerator operation (in both propane and Electric modes), and water pump operation. Remove the drain plug from the hot water heater storage tank and look for scale or rust coming out. Obviously see if hot water heater makes hot water both electrically and with the propane heater. Check out wiper blades, washer fluid and mechanical operation. Run the generator and see if the door step functions properly. Whew, I have drained my brain, but I am sure there are a few more I have missed. That is a great coach; good luck.
