Forza Passenger's Seat Back Rocks

The captain's seat back on our passenger seat in our 2015 Forza now "rocks" when you sit against it, which drives my spouse nuts. I took it to an upholstery shop and they said that the "pin" that connects with the "sprocket" that adjusts the angle of the seat back is "worn." They quoted $800 to repair it (meaning they didn't want to do it). Has anyone else had this happen and gotten it repaired? Can these adjustment parts be ordered somewhere? Can it be fixed (or am I stuck listening to my spouse grouse all the time)?

I've seen captain's chairs rock due to bolts that have loosened, and due to a steel bracing cracked all the way through. I suspect you're right and that shop just didn't want to work on it. I wouldn't buy that worn pin/sprocket is causing it without inspecting it myself.

You might DIY and remove some of the fabric to get a good view, and see if it might need a weld or if it actually needs parts. A welding shop can re-weld but if you have worn out parts, looks like you'll need to do some deep google searching for the manufacturer of the chair and see if they sell repair parts. Or the RV manufacturer might if it's a common problem. There are shops in Mesa AZ that repair, or customize those chairs with new fabric or leather. And I suspect there are others.
