Fresh tank fills regardless if on city water

I am suspecting an over pressure situation has damaged my control valve that selects city water or fill. I have been on city water for over 2 months and suddenly my fresh water tank has filled to the point where it is coming out the over fill pipe on top of the tank. I can drain some water and it is full again after a short while. Anything else I should look at or consider? Also, I have the parts manual but that specific valve is not called out. Is it the same as used for the water heater bypass?

Thanks all

It sure sounds to me like the valve has failed or the handle has slipped. Does the valve feel as it always has when you rotate it? In any case, I would call a local Winnebago dealer with your serial number. They can get the part number. I suspect it's not an expensive part and relatively easy to install.

Could be on-board pump internal check valve is not sealing and allowing water to back flow thru pump........

What kind of water pressure is supply providing?

To check this, shut your city water supply. Run the on-board pump. With all faucets closed, does the pump jog on once in a while? If so, pump check valve is faulty.

I had the same issue back in 2013 on my initial trip in my Vista. Took it to the dealer and although it looked to be on city water, the knob was not fully turned and allowed the fresh tank to fill. Once corrected, I never had the problem again.
