Garage door strut
Hi All,
I did a mod on out 2014 Itasca Sunstar 35F, we added hatchlift to out garage under the bedroom slide to do away with the tacky rod. Works great, had to add 2 do to the weight of the door.
My question is has any one added a strut to the garage door by the entrance door that always hits the step? It drives me crazy and It will eventually chip out paint.

Got a picture? I cannot see in my head a garage door anywhere on the side of a MH.

Maybe it's me, but I have never had an issue with mine hitting the steps. I guess I'll have to pay closer attention to it next time at the MH.
I did the Hatch lift when I first got mine and yes 2 lifts were needed. Easy Peasy.
But as far as a strut for the hatch door nest to the main entrance, why not just install a chain that prohibits it fully opening?

Garage door strut
Please post the name/mfg/model for the garage door strut. I have a 2016 model. BTW, a chain will keep the front garage door from hitting the steps, but it won't keep it open

Basement Strut
Here is the link and Pics of the finished product. The pic with the full MH is to show you how we use to keep it up, (note the silver pole to the left). About an Hour each one to install, drill 3/16 rivets with large heads or washers and a lot of measuring.
