Sounds like a tough spot to be in. I am not familiar with your RV but I googled 2004 winnebago journey headlamps and some images came up which might be helpful. Looks like a pair of pins on the bottom of the assembly, that should fit into a pair of holes in the fiberglass, not sure how the top of the assembly is attached. Perhaps a pair of screws. If you look up those headlamps and look at the images closely you may get the answer you are looking for.

So.. on the front of the lenses of headlights there it a dot. Number.. Google that.. and look in Google images.. there should be your answer..
Mine is close..
To replace just bulbs there are 4 nuts on back of fiberglass front cap.. they are hard to see.. use cell phone with camera and flash and record up under hood.. by back of headlights housing..
The connection comes up into headlights housing..
If you have something else in mind.. just ask
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you

Perhaps you could PM some of the folks in this thread Journey headlight upgrade that have dealt with this? They may be able to help/answer your questions.

I'm assuming the new headlights are the original type.
FWIW, the Winnebago wiring diagrams for your specific model are available for download via the links at the top of this forum.
You might need to contact a mobile RV mechanic to complete the job.

Those headlights are from a 1998 pontiac grand am. I have a 2006 journey and have just recentley replaced both headlights. there are also two flex cables that adjust the light assembly on both sides. The easiet way to replace those lights is to remove or tilt the front cap forward. I tilted mine . it is easier than it looks or sounds. look around this site for headlight replacing , journey, and you will find some instructions. researchis important. you can send me a private message and i can lead you through the process

headlights
i bought my cables from Lichtsinn rv (best winny parts store ever). there are two adjusters on each side, a long one and a short one. that was ordered on 01/25/21. so im sure they still have stock on that. the head light is mounted on a frame, the same one used on the Grand Am and the frame is then mounted on the glued-in frame on the front cap. the real problem is getting to the drivers side bolts because of space.some screws are not acessable unless you remove the entire assembly
