Help:Close to purchasing 2010 35P Adventurer

This will be our second motorhome, the first being a new 1999 Brave that we only owned for two years, although we liked it. Our other option is going with a new Tiffin Allegro 36LA.

Is there anything we should be concerned about with that Adventurer model? I know this is a Winnebago site, but is the newer Tiffin a better option?

Thanks. It seems like a good deal at $85k, but you never know. I test drove it at the dealer and it blew a coolant hose, probably just a fluke. It has low miles at 15k.

What chassis, Workhorse or Ford?

A WH with 6 speed Allison is a great value. My 1999 Winnie was on a Ford chassis, while my current '04 is a WH.

I love the ride and power I have with the WH....albeit with modifications I made on both Ford & WH.

Regarding low mileage, it's a double-edged sword. Low wear & tear is good. But all the mechanisms need to be exercised often. Jacks, slides, generator, kwike steps, a/c heat pump, switches, tires, tranny, engine and drivetrain will have more problems when just sitting in storage. So, in my opinion, a 4 yr old coach with 15K may have more problems than one with 40K miles.

Good luck,
Bill

Thanks for your response. It's the Ford chassis. I've decided to go with the new Tiffin, due to a few issues with the Winnebago. We also like the layout better. I guess I need to switch sites!
