Hole For Your Satellite Cable

I know, I know. This isn't the "Satellite" section.

But, it's more relevant to post my question here.

To all of you Winnebago/Itasca owners that own satellite dishes that are on the ground -

Have you found a good place in your MH to drill a hole for the satellite cable?

I don't want to have to close a door or window on the cable.

I routed mine into the wet bay, and have a connector mounted in there. That already has provisions to get the cable out the bottom.

Most basement compartments have wireway access to the passenger compartment. My electric bay has a coax connection that I used for many years with the coax alongside the electric cable. Now I have a coax connection in the forward bay under the driver. The coax fits nicely in the "gap" where the rubber seal ends meet along the bottom of the compartment … slip it into the "gap" and shut the door.

Moxxi, look in the lower back drivers side compartment and in the entertainment center. See Pictures:

I drilled a hole through the floorboard over the right front tire. This is under the dash and out of sight. Coax comes up through the hole, runs up behind the window trim, and up into the overhead cabinet where the receiver sits. Nothing showing, can't even tell it's there. Underneath, sealed the hole around the coax to keep out the elements. That end of the coax (about 16 inches) stores nicely inside one of the small channel iron cross members. Real easy to remove and connect to the satellite coax via a standard coax connector.

I ran a cable down the windshield post, into the dash and through an existing hole into the fuse and electric panel under the hood. drilled and mounted a feed-through coax connector there to hook up to the sat dish.

I just ran the cable through the cabinet above the drivers seat and came down near the seat belt post. then I run the cable out the slide out as the slide rubber goes by the window. I was leary of drilling though exterior anything.
