1999 Adventurer, 35C....When hooked up to city water.... seems like the hot water preasure in the shower is lower then the cold water preasure....I have seen discussions on this board refering to a check valve on the water heater..anyone have any info regarding this valve going bad or restricting the water flow....where are they located...where can you get replacements...are they hard to get to and replace.

There are probably two check valves in your water heater and failure is fairly common. The cost is around $10. but they are somewhat difficult to replace because of the tight quarters around the back side of the heater.Look at one at a RV Parts store and you can see what you will be looking for and see the keeper on the valve stem, this is what usually comes offf and caused the failure. The valves screw into the inlet and outlet of the heater before the water lines.

J Stemler, I'm not certain that the check valves, if you've got 'em, are the culprit. Do you get good hot water pressure in the kitchen sink & bathroom sink? If so, the "culprit" will be the shower valve reducing hot water flow. In about '98 & '99 years, they started installing the "anti-scald" temp sensor apparatus, and yours may have gone south...
