HI all, we will be having some work done on the coach October 1st that will require us to move into a hotel/motel for a few days, maybe up to a week. I've looked on line and really didn't find much. We will have pets with us plus we'd like a micro and fridge and a decent rate. Hate to buy the miserable room. Anyway has anyone stayed at a decent/nice place for a reasonable price in that area?

Thanks, Savannah

I stayed directly across the street at the Lodge and it was very nice, but not inexpensive. It was worth the price. Service and food was great and I believe some rooms had fridges. The staff was very friendly. I would stay there again.

I know the motel six is cheaper but I wanted a full bar and food. I got a rental car (I think Mason City airport) from the airport and went up to the casino at the MN state line.. Very nice.

Have a safe trip
Good luck

We would have stayed at The Lodge except they don't accept pets. There is a pretty nice Super 8 a couple of miles south of the factory with fridge and maybe microwave and WiFi as I recall. They will accept pets for a nominal surcharge. These are your choices in Forest City!

Thanks, I knew The Lodge didn't accept pets and the Super 8 is booked for the days/nights we need so thought maybe someone knew of another place locally that we didn't. Guess we'll head into the "big cities" of Clear Lake or Mason City.

There is a pretty nice Holiday Inn in Mason City. Ask for a quiet room on the backside away from the pool.
