How to install Trik-L-Start in 2016 Navion?

I'd like to permanently install a Trik-L-Start in my Itasca Navion 24J. The Trik-L-Start website has a wiring diagram showing how it's connected to the battery isolator.

Where is the battery isolator located? Does anyone have specific diagrams or photos of such an installation?

Thank you.

Most of the new winnebago's have it as standard equipment. Are you sure you don't already have it in there.

The solenoids are under the front passenger seat in my father-in-law's 2008. You could check your wiring diagrams, but I'd bet that's where they are.

I could not find a wiring diagram or any brochures etc for a 2016 Navion, so I looked at the 2015. I did not see a Trik-L-Start, but I did find your solenoid and battery DC relay and they are with a circuit breaker panel. I wish I could tell you where that is, but if you dig into the diagrams they will eventually lead you there.

Camper Ken here are two drawings that should help. The 2016 wiring diagrams are not on line yet. Should be the same as the late 2015. And yes they are under the passenger seat.

Thank you for the diagrams. I'll take a look under the passenger seat.

The instructions for the Trik-L-Start recommend disconnecting the chassis and house batteries during installation:

"Unplug from shore power, disconnect any solar panels, and remove the negative terminals of BOTH the house and starting battery banks."

It's difficult to access the chassis battery since it's mounted in a compartment under the driver side floor. Is there any danger in hooking up the Trik-L-Start without disconnecting the batteries?

Camper Ken, there are two issues with not disconnecting the batteries. First there is a chance of your wrench touching something that is grounded and causing some physical damage. Second there is a lot of statistic generated when you loosen connectors that have power on them which is not good for the electronic devices.

Yes, it is under the seat.

If your light (on the trikl start will not go off (even if you kick off the salesman's switch)
Put the yellow wire on the right side (cold side)of the other solenoid (coach solenoid)

That is how I wired my 2014-works great!

PS there is a good you tube video from 2012 showing the whole process (Trikl-Start-install,wmv)

The chassis battery isn't hard to get at. Lift up the flooring, undo a couple bolts, lift off the cover, there it is.
