Hydraulic Leveling System Parts

Hi,
First - this is a very difficult web site to navigate.

I have a 2005 Sunrise F38J with a hydraulic leveling system.
Each jack has two 7 or 8 inch springs that pull the jack back up.
One of the springs broke and I need to replace it.
The problem is - I bought the motorhome used in 2014 and the instruction manual for the hydraulic leveling system was not included.
So, I have no idea who made it or what to look for in the way of parts.
My local RV repairman did work on the system in 2014 when I bought it, so I figured he might be able to find the replacement parts.
He tried twice to find new springs with no success.

I am ready to sell the motorhome, but I have to fix the leveler first.
The RV guy said I should replace all 8 springs, but also said they were $150 per pair, or maybe 200, or maybe 75.

I tried PPL, their prices vary from $190 to $3500.

I am ready to go to Ace Hardware.

What do you think?

The brochure for your unit indicates that it has HWH levelers. If so, you can get the model number off the cylinder and call HWH for replacement springs. If selling I would only replace the one set. The website is www.hwhcorp.com.

if you can supply the model number on the side of the cylinder, i can give you a part number for the springs. the front may be different than the rear, but both rears and both fronts are the same.
it starts with AP followed by 4 or 5 numbers. these springs are not 190 per set. maybe with shipping and installation. but not just the part.

Nice job Paul for the response. I think it is great that people who work for the various RV parts companies are members of the site and willing to offer their assistance.

i try to help without being a troll, selling parts or services. i stick to diagnosis.
i can recommend where to buy them, but i dont offer to sell then directly.
if asked privately and only if they are having a problem getting them, i can arrange to provide what they need.
most hwh parts can be bought from many companies on the internet.
its a fine line between being helpful and being a troll.
