Hydraulic lines on top of LPG tank?

Hi Ho: In our coach there are two hydraulic lines that come from somewhere in the front of the coach and energe on top of the gas tank. They then go over the top of the LPG tank (about 10 inches from the back) where they are connected together.

My question is: What are they for? and Why run them together to the back of the coach and simply connect them together.

It would be possible that they were for the bedroom slide, but they don't connect to anything (like a ram etc.). Why I'm asking is that there is a leak in the connector where they are reduced down so that they could be connected together.

If they are extra and don't do anything I could go to the other end and simply put a jumper where they originate, but I don't know exactly where that is and they are hidden from view.

Help! Dirk

You might get more help if we knew what kind of coach you are talking about.

Hi Ho: Sorry Ernie. I was thinking it was in my signiture, but see that it got lost. We have a 2000 Itasca Suncruiser 35U with HWH jacks/slides and the Ford F53 engine.

I'm not familier with your model coach, but I can tell you that "hoses to nowhere" are extremely rare. Unlike the government, Winnebago is in business to make money.

HWH leveling systems are either hydraulic or air, since your rig is on a Ford chassis, it would have the hydraulic levelers. The hoses you see are probably for the levelers. Take a look at them and the hydraulic lines on them, they should look the same.
