Does an inverter require any "special" cooling while in operation? Mine is in the entertainment bay to the left of the entry door.

I have a 2000W.

Thanks,

David;

I have the same set up you do. I have the problem of overheating in summer months. I want to try to add some air to that compartment but temperatures are below 0 here now and I will have to wait until summer. Winter only started yesterday and I hate winter already. We have set new records for snow fall and low temperatures.

Merry Christmas to you and Sue.

Don

Sorry about yer weather Don, it's been raining her off and on, and of course, I will upset you when I tell you, but it has been down in the low 50's at night here! During the day, when its not raining it in the low 60's.

Well, enough of the complaining?!?!?!?!LOL LOL

The reason I am asking is because, well you know me, I am putting a 26" LCD in that compartment right now, soooo.......

I think I will hook up a 12v fan in the compartment so when I DO use the inverter OR TV, the fan will come on automatically and hopefully keep things cool.

I had to rearrange the stereo and speakers, and am not going to use the 100v, cable, or the 12v plugs up there anymore.

I'll post pictures when completed. NOTE: FYI I bought a 32" to put in there but when I got it home the wife wanted it for her room, so I ended up with her USED 26"!! Oh well.

Thanks for the info, and you and yours have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.

David

Since mine has dual cooling fans I suppose so. It is in a large unvented outside compartment which has been sufficient. Might be different if we experienced a hot climate
