Journey 42E & Tour 42QD

we are in the process of starting to look at new DP for a purchase in the near future. we have been considering some of the Winnebagos. i was able to get the attached document to see basically what you get from going from a Journey 42E to a Tour 42QD. these are basically the same floor plan with the full wall slide just flipped from curb side to street side. so for about $50K more on the base retail price there are some plus and minus. i do need to find the actual load carry limits, i am hearing rumors the Tour is very tight on those numbers. i do like the aqua heat.

I have a newer Journey and in looking at your PDF I like the Journey capacities better, I have the Cummins 360 and find it more than enough power for my 36 ft Journey. I would think that the 400 HP would be ample and give better MPG. The Journey has more cargo carrying but I have no idea about the weight. I will say the MH heats and cools well and I only have 2 units on the roof I assume they have 3.

All in all I do not see 50 K advantage.

I just purchased a 2012 Itasca Meridian 42E. Still learning the ropes but so far, I'm really satisified. I can see no reason to spend the extra money to move "up" to the QD.
