Journey mattress size

2013 Journey 34B - is the master bed size a standard or short king? The air mattress is just not holding air anymore. Thought about a topper but just as well might replace the whole mattress. Thanks

Check the location where the tubes go in tot he mattress. That is often the point of failure. I repaired our 4 years ago with a generous amount of epoxy resin and have not had an issue since.

Grant has some good information. My son's 2015 Tour found his tubes leaking where the entered the air mattress also. Sadly that was after he had already replaced it.

Mine leaked where the hose went into the mattress.
The manufacture said rubber cement.
I got a 1/2 quart of industrial rubber cement slathered it on and let it dry for a few days.
The good rubber cement is dangerous so wear a good vapor mask and gloves.
I did the repair in our shower, closed the door, and left the vent on for a few hours till the fumes died down.

After I did this job the josling must have messed up the controller connections because they were working strange. I unplugged the unit, unplugged the remotes, sprayed the connections with wd40 and reassembled.

Everything has been find for a month or more now.

If your Journey came with a King bed, it was not a short king, it was a "RV King" which is not as wide as a standard King. RV King is 72" W x 80" long. Std King is 76 x 80.
We just replaced our leaking RV King air mattress with a foam/hybrid mattress in a box from Wolverine Mattress. The 72" wide King was not a standard mattress size from the major mattress suppliers.

journey mattress size

Thanks all I will check the connections at the mattress end. We had a similar mattress on a previous RV and eventually it also leaked and I could not get it to seal. Doubt I will mess around with this one much as the wifee is pretty unhappy in the a.m. after sleeping on plywood. "When the wife is unhappy.....". I have already located several candidates for the new mattress. The standard king should fit as I currently have about 3 inches on each side up near the headboard betwee the little side tables. Thanks again.
