Keypad stays lit on 08 40TD

My keypad does not work and the numbers stay lit. The door can be locked with the remotes. I will check the manuals tonight and the module I believe is on the left front of the motorhome which I will look at tomorrow. Any ideas or suggestions?

Today I tried resetting, reprogramming the keypad and nothing. I reprogrammed the remotes which worked fine, learned a few new things though. I called Winnebago and they thought I needed a new keypad and to call a dealer. I emailed my dealer to see if anything is covered since my motorhome is less than the 1 year since purchased. I called SCS/Frigette and out of business. Last thing to do I guess is take out the keypad and unhook the wiring to turn the lighted panel out. I took it out and unplugged it and plugged it back in. One last try - close the door and hit the 7,9 buttons. It worked, door locked! Happy day.
I still wonder if I should buy another keypad or two for when the eventual will happen. Winnebago service thought they may have a few left. The 2010's have different ones. How soon these motorhomes get old. Life goes on.

Just got my Vectra back today. Had a couple of small things that needed fixing before my warrantee expired. One of those things was my keyless entry touch pad. At best, it has worked sporadically. The tech told me they've had a lot of problems with this unit. He took the unit out, cleaned the contacts up, put it back in and... it works fine. I'll never trust it enough to actually leave my keys in the coach though.

I also will take the keys with me whenever I walk out the door. I used to leave the keys in the ignition because of the big wad in my pocket along with my car keys. We are going to stop at the factory the first of May to have our last warranty things taken care of. June 2 09 is when we purchased our motorhome.
Winnebago sent this email to me today:
"At the moment, replacement parts for the SCS keyless entry system are not available. Victory Climate Systems, LLC will be taking over the SCS/Frigette facility and will be producing replacement air conditioning parts. We are hoping they will also provide a parts outlet for the keyless entry system as well."

I have done the same as you. As a result the keypad will work, then not work, then work. Finally, I decided this is just not worth my time. When I want to lock the coach I use the key. When I want to unlock the coach, I use the key. I haven't had to reprogram the key as of yet!!
