Kwikee level best 3000 jacks

I have a 2007 Itaska Sunrise, with the Kwikee level best 300 jack system.
The right front jack will not retract when you push the all up button,it will extend.
If I use the emergency retract jumper it will retract.
I suspect the controller is defective.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem.

It might be worth a try to take the front panel off (4 screws as I recall) and unplug the power lead from the pc for a minute or so and then plug it back in. This resets the board and sometimes cures strange problems like the one you are having.

If the controller board is bad it's easy to replace but it isn't cheap. At least $200 but I don't recall the exact price.

Kwikee level best 3000 jacks

I tried unplugging the control board,to no avail.
I priced a new control board form lichtsinn motors, they want $505 for a new one.

Ouch!! That is pricey.
That is where I bought mine but I didn't recall the one I bought being that much. That was several years ago though and it must have gone up.

Still it's better that a new system from another manufacturer.

Several years ago a guy posted a schematic of a simple circuit you can build yourself that will replace the control board. You can see it below or download it HERE

One guy looking at the schematic said he thought the diodes were reversed but I doubt it. I suspect he got confused by the type of FET used on the control board (P type versus N type)

The switches and diodes can be bought at a lot of places. Some Radio Shacks maybe, Newark or Allied, or DigiKey.

Kwikee touch pad

I took my 2007 itaska sunrise to the winnebago dealer with jack problems.
The right front jack would go down when the all up button was pushed.
With the assistance of a Kwikee tec. it was determaned that the touch pad was defective.
Whan the dealer tryed to order a new touch pad Kwikee would not sell hin one, they said the touch pad was on a engineering hold.
I wounder why it has taken Kwikee 6+ years to determine they had a problem with the touch pad.
They didnt eleborate on what I am suppose to do for jacks on my motorhome while they are doing there engineering.
