On our 2005 Horizon (36GD) the left turn signal and left brake doesn't work on the towed (Honda Accord) when hooked up for towing. The left turn signal and left brake light work on the MH but not on the towed when hooked up. And the signal and brake light works on the Accord when NOT connected for towing. DH says we lose the 'signal' somewhere before the connector plug. He's traced the loss to there, but doesn't know where the other end of the wire goes. He's checked the wire to the connector plug and it's good. So he looked up the wiring diagrams and has determined that the signal comes from the front of the MH. But he says the diagram is not detailed enough to be able to locate that specific wire connection.

Anybody else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

The seperate turn signal relay and fuses for the rear connector are located behind the grill for the engine. You have remove two screws (two below and two inisde the electrical bay). Once you remove these screws, you can pivot the engine grill upward. The box for the fuses and turn signal relay are located to the right of the radiator as you are standing in front of it. Turn on the coach turn signal and you will be able hear the clicking.

The fuse box for the trailer plug is on the drivers side after the radiator. Like Harry said take out 2 screws on the panel/grill in front of the radiator and the panel will pivot up like the bays. Then you will see the fuse you are looking for.

You don't mention if you have a 4, 6 or 7 pin connector.

The 6 and 7 pin connectors (usually) the wires held in the connector with a screw. Loose screw? I had problems with a plastic 6 pin connector installed from the factory and replaced it with a metal connector.

How did he determine that the connector was the point of loss?

Has this exact setup ever worked?
