Lights, Flashers.... NO action!
Good morning all....
My current issue(s) are with the main headlights, turns, hazard flashers....
It all started like this; Once upon a time I took our new to us 02 Winnie Adventurer 32V to the local Chevy dealer in the fall.... to have some maintenance things taken care of.... they fixed all but two then created another.
We still have the manifold exhaust leak (ticking sound when accelerating), and what turned out to be a simple hazard switch replace has now caused us to lose our lights. We also no longer have our DRL.
If I turn on the lights, the turns in the dash both light up, and neither turn signal works, and we have no low beam lights. I can turn them to high and the lights work, but then no turns work including the hazards, and none of the marker lights come on.
Another quirk, when extending or retracting the living room, the DRL's will flicker on.
Without boring anyone with the horrid story of how it sat at the dealer for 3 months and then sat at the renovator for 6 months... I am just trying to figure out where to start or who to take it to who can fix this. Or is this something I can do.
Obviously that steering column hazard switch involved more than what meets the eye and what the dealer told me. We just got this back and started using it, since we have not seen it since October of last year.
TIA for any help or guidance or nearest competent RV guru.

With the headlights ,on, causing the turn indicators to light up ; your front end lighting systems ground wiring is bad .
The headlights are back feeding power to every light system in the coach , rather than going directly to ground .
The flashers have limited capacity ; to power bulbs ; so when that system tries to seek ground the load goes up to a point where the flasher just quits .
Sitting for an extended period has probably caused ground points for the wiring to rust OR there is a possibility of rodent damage .
Follow the wiring from the back of the headlights to where the wiring is grounded to the vehicle frame and clean the connection.

FWIW over 80% of all 12V issues are the result of a poor/missing ground.
