Hi, my rig has just the standard 4 led light indicator for the house battery charge, I would like something that gave me a volt reading. Anyone have any good suggestions, and I don't want to break the bank.

Something like the Bogart Trimetric 2020 is the only way to get an accurate reading, voltage under load is very misleading. With the Trimetric 2020 you can see how much battery capacity is actually left. With the required shunt it is about $170.

An alternative to the Bogart Trimetric is the Xantrex Link 10. The Xantrex control panel/readout is much smaller.
These units can be a bit of work to install because you have to install the shunt near the batteries and run a shielded twisted wire cable from it to the control panel/readout.
