Magnum inverter charger

I have a 2012 tour 42QD. Recent trip discovered issues with inverter. Was getting "fault bridge" on my display panel followed by dead battery error. All batteries were at 12.5 volts. Found 400 amp fuse to be blown off house battery bank. This was changed and within 15 mins blew again. Seems inverter has gone south. Has anyone changed this in their coach? Where did you purchase? thoughts? Thank you. Inverter is Magnum MS2812

A quick read of the user manual states: "To clear this fault, an inverter reset is required. Remove DC power to the inverter, or press and hold down the power switch on the inverter for 15 seconds (until the green Status LED comes on). If this fault does not clear, the unit will need to be serviced."

The blowing of your 400-amp fuse is a strong indication that the switching system (the "bridge" ?) that takes in the DC voltage and creates the 60-hertz, 120VAC output is not just "failing" but actually shorting out (thus the fuse blows). This is a return-it-to-the-manufacturer-for-repair situation I think.

We had a control board issue. It was an extended service plan covered component. Sent it to the factory, they returned it in a week or so. UPS dropped it. Back to the factor. We ended up with a new one with the old cover.

If it had not been a covered item I would have looked seriously at getting the 3000 watt hybrid inverter. It sounds like you might have the ME-RC so you might want to make sure it is compatible although I would not let that stop me from upgrading.
