Map light
Has any one moved the drivers map light switch from head light switch to dash. The on head light is getting hard to turn on. Like to move to dash.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just pull the switch out, find the 2 wires that are for the light, cut them, or "T" into them and install a switch.
I put 12 light LED mini panels in both of mine, and they are really nice and bright. I used 6000 k lights, so just like daylight.

Have you tried spraying contact cleaner in the switch and turning it. It may take a couple of tries.

The problem is the map light is also the dash light dimmer, don't know which wire goes to map light.

Take a test light and check it out. The wire for the map light will be either on or off. The dash lights wire will go from dim to bright as you turn the switch.
There will also be a wire with constant 12 volts. That's the other wire to tee into for your switch.
Tee into those 2 wires and run them to your new switch for the map light over the drivers seat.
I hope that helps.

The dash light switch just grounds the map light so there will be no hot at that switch for the map light. Find the one that does not change voltage as you turn the switch.
