Need help with slide out issues
Hello,
I have a 2008 Winnebago Destination 39W which was recently purchased- used. The slide outs had chewed up the flooring and worse. They are Power Gear slide mechanisms (2 active - 1 passive) that are controlled by a Kwikee panel. Both slide outs had pieces of the black nylon glides peeled off. The right side (super slide) had worse issues. It had caught on the floor ramp- essentially dislodging it and had broken of pieces of shaped ramp/spacer wood and fabric (felt type glide). Now the ramp is out and the screws that held the black nylon gliders are still sticking out of slide out under floor. I will likely cut off these screws, as it looks like they were just holding the glides on. The screws will catch the new flooring- if installed.
Questions-
1. Do I need to put new glides on- if so, how?
2. Is there a way to adjust the entry (retraction) tilt so the slide out will lift over the floor at the edge of the wall? Once the slide out is fully retracted, the vinyl plank flooring easily slides under

SWAG, but maybe totally wrong, have read often when 1/2 extended, you can RAISE the inside a few inches. IF GLIDES mount with bolt thread, similar to appliance adjustable feet, maybe unscrew by hand/ pliers/ open end wrench? Good Luck.

Shawn, we are going thru the same thing with out 2007 Adventurer, it's currently at a Winnie dealer to have work done. We were involved in an accident in September so it is awaiting that repair so while it is in the shop we asked them to check the slide issue. We got a call saying that there is nothing that can be done for it, but I'm not sure that we are accepting that. I'm going to keep an eye on this post, just in case you find another answer and we will keep looking as well.

(Keep in mind) PART OF what THEY are telling you is that THEY do NOT have any staff qualified to competently repair YOUR slide issue. Good Luck.

I haven’t had any luck either. I tried adjusting the tilt from the specs, barely any change. Tried to get a dealer/repair shop to look at it- they are booked through the end of the year. I tried the extend halfway/ lift route with no discernible effect. I really don’t want to have to remove it- way too much work- to add glides and adjust.

Then the only other option I can think of is NYLON glides that SNAP ONTO the existing bolt head' maybe a dealer parts counter can point you to a brand/model if you cannot find anything in a local hardware or online?
I had to 3/4 extend and adjust from OUTside in order to replace a vertical wiper seal; Not properly adjusted was the reason mine ripped wiper seal loose.
The 1/2-retract and lift is so you can remove/replace bolts?? Good Luck. May need jacks and wood and ingenuity?
These look molded vs snapon. https://www.etsy.com/listing/7378922...644d5eec1186fb
