Newbie Intro

Hello everyone. I'm TJ and my wife Bobbi just drove home Monday with our new 2016 Minnie Winnie 27Q. We've been researching and planning this for just about 2 years. I semi-retired this past Oct and my wife will fully retire next May.

We're in Connecticut but found the coach in Buffalo, NY. the price the dealer was asking was hard to believe at first. MSRP listed it at 91,400 but was asking and not bulging from 59,800. It had less than 1000 miles on the odometer so we decided to drive almost 400 miles to check it out. Everything went smoothly and now we're the proud owners of a Winnebago. At the moment it's in our driveway until I make a few mods.

This will be the first of many question but does anyone use a solar trickle charger on either the chassis or house batteries?

Thanks

TJ

Welcome and congratulations!
I have a different unit than yours but, yes we use solar. All you basically need is a solar panel and a charge controller. If you do a search on this site or even google there are many good articles.
Again, happy camping!!!

Congrats on your new Winnie. I wish you lots of luck with it. Instead of a trickle charger, I installed solar on the roof. It keeps the batteries charged and if I'm dry camped it works there too. (I don't dry camp much).

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

Happy Trails!!!
