Norcold heater replacement

I haven't had time to check the heaters yet but I'm pretty sure at least one of them has failed. The refer is a Norcold 1201LRIM installed in our '02 Ultimate Advantage 40J. The bottom vent is at te bottom of the refer on the outside of the coach. The top vent is on the roof. So, my question is can the heaters be changed out through the bottom opening or will I have to pull the refer out for access? Hope someone's done this and can advise me. Thanks

Kix,I just pulled my refrigerator about a month ago to do a thorough cleaning of the flue etc. and replace the mother board. The heaters on my refrigerator which is the same as yours is at the bottom of the flue vent. I believe I could change mine through the bottom vent door if I had to, but I havent needed to do that yet. If you haven't done any mainteenance in a while ( in at least two years)I suggest you pull and clean the refrigerator like I did. After I cleaned
mine it has never worked so good. It's not that difficult to complete this job and I never did it before. Good Luck

Thanks BobO. I guess I really should pull the refer but I'm not looking forward to it.

Its not necessary to pull the fridge just open the port to the burner, last looked one screw holding box cover, put a paper towel over burner ports and lightly tap the burner tube, be careful of eyes because rust will be falling down your burner tube.
I do this every spring and fridge has worked perfectly for last 6 years.
Course everything is turned off while doing this. Just be careful up on left side 1/2 way up is your electric element and while there check the clip connection are clean and tight.
Had a problem last summer, element would open surge protector when hooking up to pedestal found the leads crossed from vibration.
