Microwaves contain a metal capacitor that looks like it should contain oil, and usually says "no pcb's" so probably does have oil. That's my guess, I would not try the microwave, unless possibly for a short time to see if it still works and is worth replacing the capacitor. IF you try to replace the capacitor, beware that is the most dangerous electrical thing most people will ever encounter, let it sit UNPLUGGED for a week, or discharge the capacitor safely before touching it.
