Outer arms for Dometic power awning

In a “senior moment” I moved our Vista forward with the awning out and bent the outer awning arms on a tree branch.
Dometic only sells the arms as a complete set

Anyone find a source for just the outer arms? They are only held on with pins and easily replaceable if found.

Hi
If the arm isn't kinked and just has a slight bend you should be able to straighten it, I've done this for a friend using a piece of strong wood or steel bar bridging the bent area and used a large C Clamp to pull it straight of course there was some spring back each time clamp pressure was released so you'll have to use some packing under each end of the straightening bar so you can go past straight until you achieve the best result.
Good Luck
Hope this helps and saves you time and money.
Kindest Regards

Wow

When I took it apart, I found One arm was only very slightly bent

The biggest thing causing the appearance of the arms being damaged when fully retracted was that the canvas awning was uneven, being 6” farther forward on the roller compared to the top retainer. Once I slid the canvas back into Aligned position the arms Fully retracted correctly

The awning canvas Had been pulling the arms off target when rolling in

All good now

EJG Thanks for letting us know all is good now, as far as the material sliding on your Awning arms I had a similar problem and it would move on a fairly regular basis so I centered material and put self tapping screws on the ends to stop it from sliding it solved that problem for me.
Glad your so called Snr moment wasn't so serious.
Good luck have a great week end.
