We have been looking at Chapel Hill, N.C. as a potential city to move to. Does anyone know how friendly a city it is to parking motorhomes on one's own property?

An easy way to find out from the source, is to go to the City's web site(www.ci.chapel-hill.nc.com) and look for the Town Manager who is the Code Enforcement Officer.Their e-mail address is(manager@townofchapelhill.com)

In your case, you need to know the facts from the people who enforce the Laws, and not move there and find out what you heard some where on the Internet it be wrong.

Bet you'd find, like our town, that it's probably more of an HOA (homeowners association) issue than city. Be sure and check any CC&R's when you look to buy a specific property, or tell the agent or agency with whom you work that you specifically intend to park an RV on the property so they don't waste your (and their) time showing you properties that will not allow it. Good luck and good hunting in Chapel Hill....the 2nd most educated city in the USA....Davis, CA of course, being #1 (at least that's what our CofC boasts ;&lt
