Post your year and model

I would think that if someone posted their year and model in the title or at least in their signiture block others could be more helpful solving their problems.

Well, it may not be needed in the signature block but it sure would help if it were included in the post asking for help.

I agree. How do you add the details of your unit and maybe a picture in the signiture block?

At the top of this page, select "User cp"....When in the control panel(cp) along the left side of the page select the area that you want to address, click on it and proceed and follow directions.

Another piece of information that would help is where you are located if you are asking about close campgrounds, service centers and etc.

Yes, I agree, it would be easier if a poster would put that information in either the title of the thread, the body of the thread, or their signature, but, just about everyone that I've checked has all that info listed in their public profile ...not all but most. One or two clicks of the mouse does it but, yeah, it would be easier if that didn't have to be done.

There is no "edit Profile"...... There is just "My Profile".... That is not what you want to do. Under "My Profile" are the editing links, under the "My profile only shows your profile as it stands now. In the "My Profile" category there are 3 possible edit choices; 1) Edit your details, 2) Profile privacy, 3) Edit profile picture. This is the way the whole menu is setup. Just choose which you want to edit and go to that link.

UserCP>Settings & Options>Edit Signature

Just type whatever you want in that blank box!

Also, a tutorial is located here:

Agreed. Not just for reading... but for Search too. Nothing like a typo to loose a good thread because someone had an issue with their "Narcold refrigerater".

Gents,
I have not read all the replies on this particular post but, here's a thought. What if the designers of this site, made a few changes to the "New thread" section. Here's how it would work. You know, when you fill out certain text boxes for Pay pal, credit card stuff, and a zillion other things on line, there are "Mandatory" boxes that must be filled out in order to proceed to the next page. If you forget or, simply do not fill in the required info, it kicks you back to that page and makes you fill in the needed info.

Well, if the NEW THREAD page were to have those "blocks" that you had to fill out, prior to describing your problem/issue, then, it would be kind of mandatory. You could have:

Motorhome make/model/year
Engine
Transmission
GAS/DIESEL

At least then, folks answering a thread would not have to "GUESS" at what rig or, trans or, engine etc the OP has in order to give a more qualified answer to the OPs post. Just an idea here. Now, I know some would complain that they'd have to fill it out EVERY TIME they created a new thread. Well, first of all, that would only take about 10 seconds at most to fill out those blocks. Second, it might be possible for the site to recognize that you're on the site and, when you went to create a new thread, as soon as you opened the "New Thread" page, your info would automatically be placed there.

Probably all a pipe dream but, just a thought here. Oh well.
Scott
