I have read a post about a power steering filter on some of the coaches. I have changed out all of the filters on my coach but, I have not been able to locate a filter for the power steering fluid. I know where the main "tank" is at the back of the coach in the engine compartment. My 2002 Ultimate Advantage is the 36 foot model with the 350 HP Cummins engine. Does anyone know where the power steering filter might be located. Any help appreciated.

I have a 350 Cummins ISC in my 2003 Ultimate Advantage. On mine, there is a hydraulic filter to the lower left of the engine compartment when looking into the access door. It is a Donaldson P179089, and has a filter minder gauge on it. It is my understanding that this "hydraulic filter" is the power steering filter.

Some hydraulic filters are in the reservoir.

I was beginning to wonder about that. I have looked everywhere and have not been able to find an external filter. On the internal ones, is there any service or better yet how would you even get to it as the reservoir is a sealed tank as far as I can tell with only the filler hole at the top and the "plumbing" at the bottom.

I've been wondering that too, but there are so many other filters to take care of I hadn't gotten to that bridge yet. Thanks for asking.

"Ain't that the truth" Wagonmaster2. I have been filtered to death and was afraid that I was missing one that would probably disable me on the road.
