We are planning a long trip from Florida to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and back, approximately 6000 miles round trip.
The Motor Home is a 2002 32' Adventurer with 48K miles we bought used in 2004 with 24K miles. We have already made two long and one short summer trip and are getting ready for another long trip.
I plan to do the 50K mile scheduled maintenance from the manual and would like to know what else I should do and check before making another 6000 mile trip.
Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron, Dee, Bo, Shadow, and Blackie

Check your tire pressures and spend a night or two in the coach before you leave home to make sure everything works and you haven't forgotten to load all your gear.

We just did our maiden voyage in a 2001 Itasca that covers essentially what you did (except from NC) plus about 2,000 miles in Mexico. We had not one single mechanical issue...in fact no issues of any kind...just a fantastic trip. Yes, it could have been beginners luck or good karma.
Being retired Army, I started out wanting to over plan everything but after a few days I relaxed and went with the flow. Other than what you've already planned and what John said, just get er done and enjoy!

Ron,
Just to add to John's comments - check the age of your tires. You might do a search here too on tire age. There has been a lot of discussion on replacing tires after about 5 years. Age & fatigue can to cause tire wall failure long before the tread shows signs of needing replacement.
Have fun and stay safe on your trip.

Good luck and enjoy. Remember, as my wife always says just before we leave home " if we're forgetting anything now, there's always a Wal-Mart down the road"

Thanks for the suggestions
Lools like a 50,000 mile maintenance check, and tire check, and I'm good to go.
