Propane tank bracket NHTSA

I put this on earlier about broken bracket holding propane tank a few commented on this but I don't believe anyone else contacted NHTSA this is a serious issue. Everyone should check their tank brackets. The upgrade that Winnebago did was terrible 1/16" steel angle not even welled to original bracket some places. NHTSA is looking into this and I hope there is a recall so we don't have tanks falling off. This is not normal Winnebago would not have attempted to upgrade the bracket if they thought the original was good. Sometimes engineers make mistakes. Contact NHTSA if you have had this issue.

Is the bracket issue specific to any particular year or model/series?

re: the Winnebago remark.

His profile says he has a Holiday Rambler Admiral; isn't that a MH? If so, shouldn't it have a permanent-mounted ASME tank?

Updated my profile Itasca Suncruiser 38T W24 Workhorse . Owners of W series need to check the brackets. On the Admiral I owned previously when I bought it and checked recalls the previous owner did not have recall done generators were falling off. On that one Workhorse went bankrupt was not paying for recall so the dealer paid for it. These things need reported and manufacturers need to recall them. Why do we just keep accepting this as normal.

I can't find any safety recall relating to any lp tank bracket on the NHTSA search database either searching by equipment or model. Is this an ongoing known issue or just something you experienced? There won't be anything relating to Workhorse, as a recall search only goes back 15 years
