As I keep getting older (thankfully) my memory kinda slips a bit. However, if I remember correctly, the Coleman Mach heat pump has two compressors and each are either 12,500 BTU"s or 12750 BTU's. I guess thats sorta around two ton +. However what really natters is how does the unit perform. Ours has been really great since we had it replaced in (I think) 2013. I have a portable unit (either 8000 or 1200 BTU's) that I can use as an auxillary unit. I will only take it if we are going to be for an extended period of time in a HOT weather climate. We also had the back cap of the motor home removed to make repairs to the duct that runs from the H.P. up the back wall to the ceiling in the coach. So far we have not needed the Aux cooling.

Hi Bill,

I have read that the ducting can come apart. I will check the end cap with an infra red thermometer.

A portable unit would be a good backup, it could be used at home in an emergency also with my generator.

The PDI has been pushed to next Friday (was supposed to be monday) as the truck shop found a few things that need repairing.

My only sticking point is the basement air if we ended up moving to Texas.

PDI went well. They did say they need to put a new jack system and gas struts for the generator door. They wrote me a note to say it needs doing on their dime.

Here is the new and old :-)

Glad to hear it went well.

You should find out exactly what "a new jack system" means. The system could be entire hydraulics including all 4 jacks, the control box and touch panel. Or just one jack cylinder assy. New or rebuilt?
