Questions about Adventurer slide problems
Background: Sold my 07 Outlook 31C recently. I was the 3rd owner and it served me well; ie., no problems that I couldn't DIY (except for stuff on the roof [A/C and TV antenna] I don't go up there) and I never had a failure on the road in 25K miles or so. Now I am "thinkin' about" a (Class A) replacement.
A WBGO Adventurer (was Sightseer) 36Z would work well for both me (and my daughter with the grandkidz and grandog…….they put thousands of miles on the Outlook.) The owner reviews are pretty scarce and most are quite favorable but a couple of reviews site persistent slide problems (the 36Z has 3 slides and one of 'em is humongous……with the sink, stove, refrigerator, and some pantry space involved!) One guy said he has become an expert on removing indoor paneling to access and remove the motors to manually close the slide(s) in order to make it home …. which sounds like Swintek issues to me. Finally, my question: Do any of you folks know about when WBGO changed over from the Swintek system? The 2 negative reviews were associated with a 2015 and a 2017 IIRC. I'll call WBGO tech support next week, but I sorta doubt they would have an answer to a generic question of this type.
I would highly value any input from current/past owners of this model coach.
TIA, of course.

I have a 2012 Adventurer 35P with that super slide on the drivers side. This slide is driven by a Power Gear hydraulic slide system. Works well.

We have a bit smaller 2013 Adventurer 32H. It has a 29' full wall slide on the drivers side. In the slide are the wardrobe, pantry, 9 storage drawers in the bedroom, 4 in the galley, with refrigerator, range, microwave, sink and island, 2 floor cabinets in the island.
In addition, there are 9 overhead cabinets in the galley and living area. Below the cabinets in the living area is a convertible couch/bed. All these cabinets furniture and appliances move in and out with each movement of the slide.
The slide was originally powered by a Schwintec rack and pinion system. In the first 5 years the slide mechanism failed 4 times. The first 2 times it was covered under the 1-year warranty. The third time the cost was split between us and Winnebago.
The final repair was to switch from the Schwintec system to the Power gear system. This system has been doing a good job for the last 4 years. Unfortunately, we had to pay the for the conversion. Back in 2018 it cost a little over $2,000.00 at the factory service center in Forest City IA. Winnebago did assist in that they supplied the parts at cost, and only charged minimal labor time.
If the unit you're looking at has the Schwintec slide system I would pass or find out if a conversion is possible. If it is possible, I would find out the cost and whether parts are available. Then deduct that amount from the offer.
If you do need the Power gear system and decide to purchase the coach, I would only have the conversion done in Forest City. There have been numerous reports of unsuccessful conversions done by dealers or independent contractors.

Winnebago Adventurer Slide Question
I have a 2011 Winnebago Adventurer 37F and I'm planning to install vinyl planking throughout the coach. Is there a way to raise the large driver side slide to avoid scrapping the new flooring.
Thanks!

We bought a new 2021 36Z in Nov2021. Several trips and slides working okay.Love the coach and layout, especially the added half bath.

I have a 2012 Sightseer, no Swintek motors. My research suggests they started installing them in 2013 going forward.
