Hi, we're new to this forum but long time rv travelers. We up graded from 15 years in a 1978 Minnie Winnie to a 2007 Vista 33 ft. in March of this year. We never had our 1978 on the back of a Tow Truck once. This one is scaring us. New the gas gauge didn't work, the scending unit had fell apart in the tank, got that fixed, next on our way to Niagara falls from a Wit Outing and lost all dash instrutments, lost power barely made it to the side of I-90, wouldn't star back up after turning off. Towed to a campground on Sunday, Towed to a Ford Dealership on Monday spent 3 nights in a Hotel. Found out a bolt on the Alternator was cross threaded which burnt up the Alternator and Pigtail. Got that fixed came home. Then a red light came on the Leveler Panel and stayed on even when the engine was off. Had to replace the panel, in the shop a week. Tried again this past week well everything went Great untill we started home and the LR slide started coming in on one side but not the other had to help push it in. But on the way home the bottom came out several inches. Has anyone had this problem. We've got a trip this weekend so I guess we won't be using our slide.

First, welcome to the forum . You will find wonderful and helpful folks here. This is absolutely the best RV forum on the net.

I am sorry you are having issues with your new rig. The '78 Class C you had was likely a much less complicated machine than your new rig. Unfortunately, with the newer rigs with more 'stuff,' things can break more often.

Most folks who buy new rigs go through a period of getting the bugs out...some say it takes the first year. Hopefully, you have a good dealer who can get your slide problems fixed and you will get all this behind you and have fun on the road.

Good luck and come back often to share your RV experiences with us.

Getting all the bugs out can be a real pain its one of the main reasons we haven't bought another. Use your coach as much as possible at home rather than have things malfunction while on the road and ruin your trips. The main thing to remember is patience, patience, patience.
