I have had my motorhome for just about 1 year now and I have been very happy with it. I made several changes inside, the biggest being removing the carpet and putting down laminate. Because my wife and I will be working for quite a few more years and have two kids to get through college, I can't imagine trading this coach, but I would like to update the outside of it. I have never really liked the plumb/purple and blue color scheme and am interested to know if going to a full body paint is feasable and if so how well it will hold up. I currently keep the coach stored in a covered stall at a boat and rv storage facility, so it is not directly exposed to the elements.
If anyone has any experience with repainting, I would like to hear your thoughts, pictures and estimates of costs would be great as well.
Thanks as always!

We also want to have our 2000 Horizon painted. The purple stripes and the purple awning have finally gotten to me.
There is some place near the Tiffin Factory in Alabama that supposedly does a great job. Haven'tg talked to them yet.
I was quoted something over $16K from a shop in Indiana that does beautiful work with all the swirls and multiple stripes.
You know thing got to looking a lot better after that.
The coach we have is fine, bugs all worked out and it fits what we do just fine, but the color sure could be improved.

I would love to know what Itasca/Winnebago was thinking when they came up with these colors. I have not seen any other model year that was quite as bad as this. However, at $16,000, I might be able to live with the purple after all.

The current issue of FMCA has a profile article on a company that repaints coaches. The company is located in Bremen, Indiana. You might find it interesting to read. Here is the link

Harry is correct.
Precision Painting is the place to go.
It's south of Elkhart in Bremen.
They do beautiful work, at a price, but it is first class.
Figure on about $15,000 for a 38' motorhome.
I've seen several of their jobs, and been through the shop.
I would go no where else.
Take a look at THIS THREAD.
