I have ordered and received the replacement fabric for a 16ft. weather pro awning, and dometic sent instruction with it for replacing the 8500 fabric. Has anyone replaced their fabric on the weather pro, and does any one know if the motor end has a torsion spring in it? Is there a pdf file on the net somewhere on replacing fabric on a weather pro

Dick/Carol, I cant help you on the details of the replacement, but I would suggest that you examine the new fabric carefully before you install it. Mine was replaced under warrenty, (the original wasn't square, causing the two ends to roll unevenly) and when installed, showed 3 holes, about the size of a soda straw, or smaller, right along the sewn seam where the welt is formed that holds the fabric in the roller. I would guess that this was an anomoly, but might save you a re install...rgr...
