Rocking interior entry step
The lower interior entry step on my Forza rocks when stepping on it. I removed the step and found the following:
The step has a rubber non skid glued over a metal platform.
The metal platform has inverted "u" shaped brackets on each end similar to pipe brackets. Each bracket has holes in the flange where it apparently was attached to the chassis floor. The brackets have a pin with washers attaching them to the upper platform. There is an adjusting screw that comes down from the top of the bracket.
It seems to me that in order to repair the step, I have to remove the tread from the metal platform and resecure the inverted "u" brackets to the chassis floor.
Has anyone had a similar problem? How did you remove the rubber tread? Can the brackets then be removed from the metal step platform?
