Satellite Hookup On 2014 Vista

I have a 2014 Winnebago Vista and I have a question on the Sat hookup. I have a portable Sat and hookup the coax which works great with the main TV. My question is in the bedroom there is a jack which reads roof Sat. Does that mean if I wanted to have both TV's on Sat I would need to dishes?

If you have DirecTV, and are using a dish with SWM LNB, all you will need is a DTV green label splitter and you can then feed 2 receivers. Connect one output on the splitter to the front receiver, and an other output to a rear receiver. Each will work independently

If using Dish Network, someone else will have to help you.

Do you hook the portable to the portable outlet in the bay? I doubt you have a single wire multiswitch and therefore you will only get it on main.

That roof cable is exactly that. It's a wire that is used for roof mounted dishes and ends up in the roof. Go on the roof and there is a mark where you can drill a hole and get access to that wire. You maybe able to get to it from the inside of the cab and then extend it to your receiver. If you have a overhead tv you should be able to access that wire from there. Also go to Winnebago site and download their drawings as that might give you exact location of cable.

DirecTV or DishNetwork?

Need to know this to tell you how to make this work with 1 receiver....

I am using Direct TV and the portable dish is the Winegard Carryout.

OK, you will only get SAT to the Main TV and outside TV when you are using the Portable SAT connected in the service bay. If you want SAT to the bedroom TV you need to run a separate cable to the bedroom. The easiest way is to get a window cable and connect it to the second TV outlet on the portable antenna. You will still need a second SAT box to ruun it in the Bedroom.

Ok good. You can make this work so that the front and rear TVs have completely separate programming with only one dish setup outside, 2 separate receivers.

I can walk you right through all of this but if you post a picture of your AV hookup panel where you have your receiver hooked up at I can make a diagram for you to follow.

Also, post your receiver model number from DirecTV..
