Shurflo 4008 Revolution Strainer-Mounting Question

The Shurflo 4008 Revolution water pump on my motorhome is mounted horizontally with the strainer (water filter) mounted inline with the pump. But due to the mounting position of the pump, the strainer/water filter is not level. Does this make any difference in performance?

Thank-you. -RT

My Shureflow that I think came with the coach (2004) finally gave up and I replaced it with a Kolerflow from Amazon for $65.00 which is rated @ 5GPM @ 55PSI.
This gave me the opportunity to relocate it, add an accumulator and make servicing a whole lot easier.

That looks like a nice, clean set-up. Just replaced mine, which is located in the water tank compartment with no room to work with, including pulling out the old one. Stayed with the previous water pump as I didn’t want any surprises or fitment issues. -RT

No it doesn't make any difference in performance

Pump can be mounted in any position, so can the strainer

Thank you very much for the clarification. Not really any room to work with but would have made an attempt to reposition if necessary.

Thank-you. RT
