Sidewall cross section

In the process of installing a washer and dryer in our Adventurer. After cutting the dryer vent hole in the sidewall, I thought it would be a good chance to show what the cross section looks like. I personally was surprised at the thickness of the outside fiberglass. My measure is a healthy 1/8th inch. The overall thickness looks like 1 and 5/8s. I always thought there was a layer of luan between the fiberglass and the Styrofoam. Nope! Anyway, the cut was easy to do with a good hole saw. Just scary putting a hole in the side of our coach.

The old carpenters adgae: "measure twice, cut once". There is another very similar thread about cutting this hole. That guy said he almost cut a 4" hole to correspond with hose size, then noticed the PVC reducer that goes in the wall was 3 something inches.
