Hi, it's me again. Thanks for the comments on the Winnebago cutbacks topic. I thought I'd move my questions to a new topic so as not to divert the other one too much.

Looking at new 2008 Sightseer 34M and 35J. I have four of the 34Ms to pick from from La Mesa RV, but it doesn't appear that they have an 35J models, but CW does in ALB NM. I prefer the 34M floorplan (2 of us), but like the bunks for storage and for the grandson "bumbo". Comments appreciated.

What size is the refrigerator in the Sightseers? I don't see any option for a larger one, and the one in the 34M we've seen doesn't look real big. 6 or 8 cu ft?

Any reason I should consider spending more for a higher end model? We've looked at the Voyage 33V and some Adventurer models, but I really like the floorplan of the 34M better and it's at least $10k cheaper. I'd also like to minimise weight and maximise fuel economy while keeping the somewhat larger floorspace.

All comments appreciated.

From the diagram on the Winnebago site it looks like the 34M is essentially the same as our 34A Sunova. We have been super pleased with our 34A - the opposing front slides make for a real-home feeling in the front... enough that we've thought about coming up with a kitchen island of some sort. The location of the recliner being behind the door gives enough space to view the TV in comfort too. As for the refrigerator, I'm not sure that Winnie offers a 4-door unit but it appears that if you took out the pantry there would be room like in most other models where it's an option. Good luck with your decision!

I'd recommend doing a forum search on LaMesa RV.

Ken, we have an 07 Sightseer and I love it. The Bunks for our kids have been great, and I can see the point for storage too. The plus to the 35J for us is the King Bed - we love that. The plus I can see to the 34M that I would like is the corner shower. I am personally not a fan of kitchen slides though, or having a chair near the cooking area. That said the barrel chair in our 35J was nearly worthless as far as where it was located and comfort. If the 35J had a corner shower in it I would go that way hands down.
