Slide room not coming in

my 2005 vectra is having trouble getting the drivers side slide to come in. It acts like the hydraulic pressure is being lost through a bypass. it starts to come up and in but stops just before getting to the high point. is there an adjustable pressure regulator on these units?

It sounds like possibly a solenoid is by-passing pressure.

Do all the other hydraulic systems work OK?

You can call or text Paul Maddox at 1-602-549-3638. He works for HWH and has offered to help anyone that needs it.

You can also email him at pfmaddox@att.net for help.

He has helped me in the past. Great guy.

You probably need to replace your retracting slide solenoid. There is one for retracting and one for extending. I replaced all of the retracting ones on my 3 slides in my 07 Itasca 40 KD. Started having problems retracting on all 3 slides. ALL RETRACT PERFECTLY NOW.

there are several things that can cause that problem. there may be too much weight in the storage bays if they are attached to the slideout. the stor mor system used on hwh mechanisms is usually limited to 500 lbs plus a reasonable amout if overnead cabinet weight.
second is pump pressure. you have an older pump, maybe the pressure had deteriorated to the point it needs adjusting. use a 5000 lb oil filled gauge to set it correctly, dont just blindly adjust it.
third, the plastic glide blocks may have worn out, and need replacing.
i havent had a solenoid do what others say, but i never say never. old worn solenoids could be the problem.

paul maddox.
i work full time for hwh corp. i do not solicit part sales on this forum. i do not do service work.
