Sony DVD Home Theatre

We have a 2008 Voyage, 32H. We upgraded our midship TV to a Samsung 32 inch LED LCD. Our Sony DVD home theater has HDMI port so I ran a HDMI cable from TV to Sony home theater system. My question is: (Please excuse my terminology) The gray chord was attached to the TV at the TV/Cable thing. There are all the other cords too. Red, Blue, Green etc. I hooked those up just like they were on the old TV. Should we now run the gray TV cable into the Sony home theater system if we want HD on our TV? Or do we have to upgrade to a newer receiver? I don't care about the bedroom TV. The TV works great when the Matrix selector is set to TV ant but when we select TV on Sony system to get HD, the TV says no signal. We are on antenna in the driveway but there are HD stations to pick up, right? So confusing!

Flowergirl, I assume the gray cable is the OTA (over the air) coax from the switch box to the TV. If so you will will receive OTA HD TV on the antenna input of the TV.
The HDMI cable between the TV and the Sony DVD will replace the Red, Blue and Green cable. This will give you HD from the DVD player to the TV.
What receiver are you talking about? The Sony DVD Home Theater is a DVD player and audio amp.

Flowergirl - The preceding is correct, and will allow you to play DVDs through your TV when the TV is set to HDMI. To watch OTA TV, you need to switch the TV to OTA/cable. The important point is that the Sony is not a receiver -- the receiver is in the TV, unless you have a satellite antenna and receiver (Directv or Dish). Possibly hidden in your question is how to get OTA TV to play the sound through your Sony system. That is tricky, but possible. You need to study the Sony manual carefully, and then talk to Winnebago, since they do exactly that on current models.
