That said, as you said, the bleach running through both tanks did in fact resolve the problem.
Since what you found was in a water supply line, it may be the vacuum breaker for the black tank flush. If it is defective, it could allow odor from the black tank leak into the area.

Can you smell that smell...

Oh yes I can, especially when the outside temp starts climbing over 90 degrees, I will bet your Isis coming from the air valve under the sink, to verify try putting Saran Wrap around the valve to see if it goes away, if it does it one of two things "as I see it" either the cheap little valve had died and now is allowing the smell from satins den permeate you living quarters or like in my circumstance was stuff in the semi full gray tank fermenting. You can like I did drain the gray tank to see if it goes away, (which mine did almost imeadiatly) like a hour later the smell got to hardly anything when I was parked.
So my intention that once I get my coach back on the road again im going to try using the Happy Camper Extream tank cleaner, which right now is VERY difficult to obtain due to covid and there packaging. I waited three weeks to get two treatments.
Last summer the smell got so bad in the Nevada desert when the temps went over 105 degrees I thought I was going to have to sell my rig cause the smell got so bad, yet once I drained my tank it all went away. Instantly replaced both air admittance valves, then this summer in Ukiah ca with temp at 102 it returned until I dumped my tank. Good luck!!!

Hmmm, I’ll have to contact REV. But flushing the fresh water system and the grey tank has seemed to fix the problem. Heading to Las Vegas this week. If it comes back, then I’ll know. Thanks for the heads up

After a couple hours with the sun shining on passenger side where the kitchen sink is we start to smell something bad. It was over 90 outside. I hadn’t hooked the sewer up yet and the smell isn’t coming from anywhere else.

Flushed with water and added tank treatment to the sink just in desperation lol. Is there just something caught in the p-trap and the heat activated it??

Thanks for any suggestions!
